How Can You Help ?
Greetings Church Family,
It’s almost time for First United Methodist Church of East Bernard’s Annual Dinner and Live Auction! We rely heavily on the proceeds from this fundraiser to support multiple ministries throughout the year. We would not be able to steward our vision of loving God and loving the community if it were not for church volunteers. Please prayerfully consider how you can help support our fundraiser in various ways. Below you will find information on a few ways we could use your help!
TICKETS
First, we need help selling meal tickets to the fundraiser. We are asking our church family to try and sell as many tickets as possible to ensure we have a great turn out for the auctions. We are encouraging each family to try and sell at least 10 tickets. So please reach out near and far to friends and family!
Tickets will be available for pick-up THIS SUNDAY (August 27th) before and after worship, or you can come pick some up in the church office. If you are able to sell all of yours, then please come grab some more!
All ticket money can be dropped off at the church office.
(Office Hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-2pm)
The ABSOLUTE last day to drop off money is - Wednesday, September 13th.
This helps us know how many chicken fried steaks to order from Vincek's.
DESSERTS
FUMC is known for our sweet treats! We are asking that each family make or bake their favorite dessert!
Please drop those homemade cakes, pies, and sweet treats off at American Legion Hall by 9am on the day of the fundraiser so our dessert crew can get it sliced, plated, and ready to go.
LIVE OR SILENT AUCTION ITEMS
If you have a donation for the silent or live auctions, please drop those by the church during office hours.
CHILDREN'S AREA
Next time you're at the store, please grab at least two 1 OR 2 liter soda bottles that we can use for prizes in the children’s area.
VOLUNTEER SHIFTS
There will be a sign-up list Sunday with responsibilities to help the day of the event. We need DOZENS of people to help us in various serving capacities. There is a place for everyone!
Some of the areas include:
-
Greeters
-
Servers (Meal, Tea, Desserts)
-
Ticket Takers
-
Auction Workers (both silent and live)
-
Money Table
-
Set Up and Take Down
To help make the work load easier, a majority of the serving responsibilities are broken up into 2 different shifts! So please ask questions if you would like to learn more about which area you could possibly help.
